Biography

Nilton Carlos Machado is an Associate Professor and Head of the Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Division at Botucatu Medical School, São Paulo State University, Brazil. He specializes in pediatric gastroenterology, having trained at the University Hospital of Ribeirão Preto, and holds a master’s degree from the University of São Paulo and a doctorate from São Paulo State University. Dr. Machado also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Paediatric Gastroenterology at the Royal Free Hospital, University College London. His research focuses on clinical and epidemiological aspects of gastrointestinal and nutritional disorders, including food allergies, quality of life, functional gastrointestinal disorders, and inflammatory bowel disease.
