Title: Literature measurement analysis based on the research progress of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in the SCIE database in the past 20 years

Abstract

Objective: From the perspective of bibliometrics, to analyze the development of ADHD research in the past 20 years, to study the current research status of ADHD, to infer the research hotspots and predict the development trend, and to study the global attention on ADHD.

How: Using bibliometrics and Web of Sciences as the statistical source, the literature on ADHD included in SCI-EXPANDED database from 2001 to 2020 was retrieved, and the author, institution, funding obtained, each year, number of publications, research direction and other contents of the paper were counted. Through keywords, search, collection and collation of relevant data.

Results: A total of 5046 literatures on ADHD were included in SCIE, 3 of which were excluded, and a total of 5043 literatures were included, with a rapid increase in the total number. There were 120 literatures from Taiwan, China, which showed a steady increase in recent years. From 2001 to 2020, 4,858 of the 5,043 literatures collected were in English and 0 were in Chinese. In contrast, there were significant differences in SCIE and Pubmed correlation (positive correlation 0.857, P<0.001) and (t=-2.161, P<0.05) in 5012 literatures on ADHD collected on CNK, both of which had statistical significance.

Conclusions :1. A preliminary analysis of the research progress of "ADHD" at home and abroad in the past 20 years shows that the research of "ADHD" in European and American countries or regions is much higher than that in China from all directions; 2, the domestic awareness of "ADHD" should be popularized in society, schools and families, and the relevant treatment of "ADHD" for children. 3, there are few relevant studies and reports on "ADHD", and more attention should be paid to the detection of "ADHD" for children to ensure that children can have good mental health from birth to adolescence.
