Abstract
Objectives: To review the main topics that constitute the medical history in pediatric consultations.
Methods: Nonsystematic review of the scientific literature, covering 280 databases of the area of health sciences linked to the portal of CAPES Journal.
Results: The main points found in the literature regarding the periodicity of the consultations and the most important elements of the clinical history are presented.
Conclusions: In spite of the change in the epidemiology of the conditions that affect the health of the child in Brazil, the adequate accomplishment of the pediatric anamnesis remains a cardinal element in the child care.
