Pediatric Heart Disease, also known as pediatric cardiology, involves diagnosing and managing heart conditions in children, from congenital heart defects to acquired cardiovascular diseases. These two fields often intersect, as respiratory and heart problems can be interrelated in children with complex medical conditions.

1. Asthma: One of the most common chronic conditions in children, requiring careful management of symptoms and triggers.
2. Chronic Lung Diseases: Treating conditions like bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) often seen in premature infants, as well as cystic fibrosis.
3. Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders: Addressing conditions such as sleep apnea, which can affect a child’s growth and development.
4. Respiratory Infections: Managing pneumonia, bronchiolitis, and other acute or recurrent respiratory infections.
